For next week, complete a Virtual Plein Air. Find a nice view/composition on Google Street View or MapCrunch. Try to improve the composition, contrast and colour of the original reference while retaining the essence of the location. Play with edges as well. Post your assignment along with the reference you used! You will be graded on how well you represented/suggested organic textures, and your composition. Accurate drawing is less of a concern for this assignment.

You can also view other people's plein air studies and show off your work on the Facebook group :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/290155717818479/
Colour Gamut
You can think of it as a way to harmonise your colour palette by limiting your colour usage. In a warm palette with dominant red, for example, colder greens will be shifted towards yellow-green, neutral greys will become more red/warm, pure whites will become more orange/yellow.
My demo, shifting the warm palette on the bottom to a more neutral one on top.
